In Vamvakou, every day close to nature is unique and full of inspiration. This is why each year, a grand celebration is organized in the heart of Laconian Parnon, capturing the essence of carefree summer in the village over just a few days! For the fourth consecutive year, from July 4th to 7th, 2024, the Vamvakou Experience Festival, with free entry for everyone, will once again color this summer with new mountain experiences, under the auspices of Vamvakou Revival and with the exclusive donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

Since for years now... it never gets cold in Greece, it never was cold, the beloved Locomondo are coming on July 6th for an unforgettable concert party that will set the rhythm in the schoolyard of the village. That same night, Anser, the beloved rapper from Laconia, will captivate the audience with hip-hop beats and endless rhymes. Joining him will be Andri J, and on the decks, Eversor. At this year’s Vamvakou Experience Festival, dance, theater, and music interact with the place on different levels!

A family party with the Burger Project on July 4th, the Performances/Readings, a series of theatrical readings by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), featuring Christos Loulis on July 5th, a contemporary dance diptych titled "Return of the Summer" with choreography by Yiannis Mandafounis and Konstantinos Rigos from the National Opera Ballet on July 5th, a unique DJ set with Makis Papasimakopoulos on July 5th, the Oros Ensemble filling the village homes with classical music on July 7th, and Schoolwave on Tour on July 7th with three bands that take to the mountains and will join us in Vamvakou!

Various wellness activities and outdoor pursuits, folklore, and educational programs for all, complement the kaleidoscope of this year’s event with "Baby Boom Dance" from the Educational & Social Activities of the National Opera on July 7th, an interactive "Chocolate School" on July 6th, and an alternative "Festival of Colors" on July 7th that will fill the mountain with bright hues and smiles.

The Vamvakou Experience Festival, an established magical gathering, this year extended to four days, is set to take place on the mountain slopes with diverse events and activities catering to different people with varying interests, from babies and new parents, children aged 6 to 12, teenagers, adults, and even those over 65. Each year, we transform inspiration into experience and experience into priceless summer memories, through nature and culture, people and the environment, arts, and entertainment. A place full of creative opportunities, a magical four-day journey filled with different forms of entertainment that will lead the visitor to an unprecedented sense of freedom and enjoyment close to nature!
